HTM Tutors is built around the teaching work of Haitham, a math, statistics, finance, and business tutor who has spent years helping high school and university students get through difficult courses with more clarity and confidence.
The goal has always been simple: make the work feel understandable, help students know what to do next, and keep the process calm enough that learning can actually happen.
My story
HTM Tutors began in a very ordinary way: through word-of-mouth. Before it was a business, Haitham was helping friends, classmates, and local students who needed someone patient enough to explain difficult ideas clearly.
That work grew slowly. He taught Grade 10 to 12 mathematics in private high schools, worked with tutoring companies supporting both high school and university students, and eventually taught large university review sessions with dozens of students at a time.
From referrals to HTM Tutors
After seeing how many students needed thoughtful, course-aware support, Haitham realized there was an opportunity to build something independently. HTM Tutors officially started in 2008, still grounded in the same kind of personal teaching that started it.
The business grew significantly beginning around 2018. As more families and students reached out, Haitham began bringing in trusted tutors for subjects outside his own specialties, while keeping the same student-first philosophy at the center.
Why I still teach
After all these years, Haitham still genuinely enjoys teaching. Not because every course is easy to explain, but because of the moment when something that felt impossible starts to feel manageable.
Helping a student gain confidence, understand a topic, or walk into a test feeling more prepared is still the part of the work that matters most.
Being part of the journey
Good tutoring is not just about getting through one question. It is about being a positive part of a student's educational path, especially during courses that can make them feel discouraged or behind.
That is the part of the work that has kept it meaningful for so long.
What I believe about tutoring
Tutoring is not a shortcut around the work. At its best, it helps students use their effort more effectively.
Different students need different kinds of help
Some students need a complete course rebuild. Some need homework support, exam preparation, or help polishing ideas they almost understand.
Guidance matters, but effort still matters
Tutoring does not replace studying. Students still need to put in the work, practice consistently, and stay engaged with the course.
Results come from a combination
Consistency, effort, and the right guidance can make difficult courses feel much more manageable.
The students who stay
Some students start in one high school course and continue for years. Some come back during university. Some families return later with younger siblings.
Those long-term relationships are one of the clearest signs that the work is helping in a way students and parents remember.

Referrals from former students and parents are one of the things Haitham is most proud of. They represent trust that was not advertised into existence; it was earned through repeated, careful teaching over time.
